Reminds me of a concept I read about recently known as "becoming the nobody"... essentially losing ones' ego, fears, belief systems, etc. to become more than they once were. Sort of a post-"Dark night of the soul" experience where a person has been through so much that all they can really do is drop it all, forget it all as if it never happened. A sort of cleansing.

This is very well-written, and carries a very interesting idea, though my interpretation may not be what was intended.

I'm sorry for the late reply.

I find your interpretation very interesting and thought provoking, though you're right, it wasn't what I intended it to be.  However, that is what I love about poetry; it bends to the perception and reality of whom it is being read by.  It's the ultimate universal art form.

Thank you for the read, the fave and comment.  I'm on limited time, but I've taken note (and a peek) of your page and plan to read your works.  Best wishes.

In literature and movies, invisibility is a step away from insanity because the invisibility severs the ties with our humanity, the paradox of being a part of a world to which we don't belong.

I've often wished that I was invisible.

I've often found comfort in my invisibility.
